Legale AI Assistant: in-app help, even from error messages
The Legale AI Assistant, formerly called Cloudia, answers questions about the platform without you leaving what you’re doing. You open it from “Need help?” or straight from an error message, and if your case needs a person, the support team is one click away.
How to open the AI Assistant
- Sign in to your Legale account.
- Select the “Need help?” tab.
- Choose to chat with the assistant and type your question.
The “Need help?” tab brings three options together in one place:
- AI Assistant: the chat that answers your questions about Legale.
- Tutorials: opens the help center in a new window.
- Request Support: the chat with the support team, which shows your request number.
Ask for help from an error message
When an error or warning message appears, you can ask for help without looking elsewhere:
- The message includes a short text and a button to ask the AI Assistant.
- The button opens the assistant’s chat directly.
- An icon lets you copy the error details, to paste them into the chat or a ticket.
This way you can solve many questions on the spot, without opening a support ticket.
What you can ask
Ask as you would ask a colleague. Some examples:
- How do I create a smart document?
- How do I send a document for signature?
- How do I create a workflow?
- Where can I see the audit trail?
- How do I configure a form’s fields?
- What does this option do?
The assistant guides you through the platform’s features so you can keep working: you describe what you need, get the guidance and apply it.
When to contact the support team
The AI Assistant doesn’t replace the support team. For specialized cases, use Request Support in “Need help?” or create a ticket from My Tickets. If you copied the error details, include them so they can help you faster.
Other AI tools in Legale
- AI in smart documents: draft a document from an instruction or improve a clause. We explain it in AI in smart documents.
- AI MCP: query your documents and signature status from Claude, GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT, with read-only access and your same Legale permissions. See how to connect it in the AI MCP guide.
How the assistant has changed
- October 2025: the “Need help?” tab arrives, replacing the separate support and chat icons with a single entry point. The chat adds the assistant’s avatar and light-orange replies, and it can now be opened from error messages. The Send button was also fixed.
- November 2025: replies no longer show internal citation markers.
- April 2026: Cloudia is renamed AI Assistant.
