What’s new in Legale: February 2026

In February 2026 we released five Legale updates, between February 2 and 24, with five new features and fourteen fixes. The most visible new feature is WhatsApp signing, and there are also improvements for using Legale on mobile and for controlling automatic signing in CSV automations.

New features

WhatsApp signing

Since February 18 you can send documents for signature via WhatsApp: the signer receives the request on that channel and completes the signature from there. We explain the steps in WhatsApp signature.

Enable automatic signing from the folder structure

In CSV Automation → Folder structure there is a new button to explicitly enable automatic signing. That way you decide when documents are signed automatically, instead of it being enabled by accident.

Responsive main dashboard

The main dashboard adapts to desktop, tablet and mobile, with elements properly aligned and easy to use on any screen.

viewer.legale.io on any screen

viewer.legale.io, the portal where signers see their documents, also adapts to any screen size, from desktop to mobile.

Data Capture is now Data Management

The Data Capture module was renamed Data Management, a name that better reflects what it does. More in Data Management in Legale.

Fixes

Forms

• Forms can be submitted without the internal server error.
• Conditional content appears in the form preview when the data that triggers it is entered.
• The Send form only switch has the correct label and works as described.
• Totals that use several value lists are calculated with the right list.
• Forms sent in bulk by CSV automation keep the fields that use the Filled operator.

Automatic signing and workflows

• CSV automation no longer enables automatic signing on its own when creating folders and launching workflows with a cloud certificate, so documents no longer skip the workflow.
• Automatic signing enabled on a parent folder also applies to documents in its subfolders.
• Opening the workflow inside a CSV automation no longer shows a screen with HTML code.
• Users a remote-signature document is shared with can resend the notification.

Smart documents and advanced signature

• Creating a document manually from a smart document no longer duplicates it.
• Adding a link as an attachment in a smart document no longer shows a service error.
• After the success message, the advanced signature (FEA) is applied to the document and it no longer stays pending.

SFTP and platform messages

• SFTP sync no longer fails with an internal server error, and documents reach Legale.
• The false “invalid API key” message no longer appears in My documents or CSV automations.
